Duluth Trading Co. has opened the doors on its latest store, a 16,000-square-foot retail store inside the Katy Ranch Crossing shopping center.

The Wisconsin-based seller of casual wear, outdoor accessories and workwear, entered the Houston-area market on Friday, March 8, with its 48th store nationwide. The latest store is inside the Katy Ranch Crossing Center located near the intersection of I-10 and Katy-Fort Bend Road.

“We are very excited to bring our unique retail experience and solution-based apparel to our many loyal customers in the Houston area,” said Stephanie Pugliese, chief executive officer of Duluth Trading. “Our two new Duluth Trading stores are well located to serve the Houston metro region, which is the fourth most populous market in the U.S. We are looking forward to greeting many of our Duluth Trading brand fans at these back-to-back grand openings.”

During the grand opening in Katy, Duluth Trading pulled out the stops with a lumberjack competition outside the new location while onlookers took part and received goods that included goods created by craftsmen using chainsaws. Food was offered to patrons who took in the mild weather in the area.

The company has more than 40 locations across the U.S. The Katy store is the brand’s first Houston-area location. For more information, call 1-866-300-9719 or visit www.duluthtrading.com.

The celebration was the second grand opening that took place this week; the first was on Thursday in Friendswood.
